Tips for using BLOCK-IT* House Wrap:
• Store BLOCK-IT* in a clean, dry, covered area until installation.
• Use a sharp razor knife to cut BLOCK-IT*.
• Use a good quality C920 Class 25 caulk and/or flashing tape with acrylic or butyl adhesive for sealing windows, doors or penetrations.
• Roll all seam and flashing tapes after installation with a J-roller to ensure proper bonding.
• Limit UV exposure to 6 months.
• Use a release layer (building paper) when installing a product that could bond to BLOCK-IT® such as stucco.

What does this mean?

• GREENGUARD Certification ensures that a product has met some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air.
• The GREENGUARD Gold standard includes health based criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total VOC emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. In addition to limiting emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions, GREENGUARD Gold Certified products must also comply with requirements of the State of California’s Department of Public Health “Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers, Version 1.1 (2010)” (also known as California Section 01350)

Kimberly-Clark BLOCK-IT* House Wrap comes with a 10-Year Limited Product Only Warranty.

10-Year Limited Product Only Warranty:
Kimberly-Clark Global Sales, LLC warrants to the original registered owner of the structure at the time of installation (the “Owner”) for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase, that the Kimberly-Clark BLOCK-IT* House Wrap (the “Product”) will meet the strength performance properties pursuant to ASTM D5034 and water hold out performance properties pursuant to ASTM D779 upon proper installation and in strict accordance with the Product Installation Guidelines and applicable building codes and accepted industry standards for the structure type. Kimberly-Clark’s liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to providing replacement house wrap product.

Additional Limited Warranty Terms:
Kimberly-Clark provides this warranty only to the Owner of a structure that is located within the United States and is less than five (5) stories in height upon the terms and conditions set forth herein. This warranty is not transferrable and is only applicable to the Owner, and such installation occurred on or after March 31st, 2014. Replacement of the Product does not extend the warranty, and terms will always begin from the date of purchase of the Product to which this Limited Warranty applies.As referenced herein, the “Product Installation Guidelines” and the strength performance properties and water hold out performance properties are available at www.kimberly-clarkbuildingmaterials.com and in effect on the date of purchase of the Product.

10-Year Limited Warranty DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE caused by or resulting from any (but not limited to) of the following:

• Negligence, gross negligence or willful misconduct of the builder, general contractor or installer or any third party including the Owner.
• Improper maintenance, improper installation, mishandling, product modification, damage, vandalism or acts or God.
• Installation of Product on any structure that is five (5) stories or greater.
• Any structure outside of the United States.
• Any foreign objects or agents that are used in installation that are outside of the Product Installation Guidelines or that are incompatible with the Product.
• Defects in the structure or any of its components.
• UV exposure of the Product that exceeds the published Specifications.

How To Make A Claim:
All claims and service under this Limited Warranty must be made in writing to Kimberly-Clark Global Sales, LLC, 1400 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30076 Attention: Kimberly-Clark BLOCK-IT* House Wrap Technical Lead. All claims must be submitted within sixty (60) days after the initial discovery and must include proof of purchase and of proper installation per the complete Product Installation Guidelines. Kimberly-Clark must be provided complete access to inspect the structure specified in the claim, recover samples, take pictures and complete any other investigation necessary to determine if the claim was due to a failure of the Product. Failure to follow these procedures in reporting a claim will void this Limited Warranty.

10-Year Limited Warranty Exclusion of Damages:
The sole liability of Kimberly-Clark under this warranty is limited only to the replacement of the defective Product caused solely by the failure of the Product to meet the strength performance properties pursuant to ASTM D5034 and water hold out performance properties pursuant to ASTM D779. Kimberly-Clark shall not be liable in tort or any contract or otherwise for any direct, incidental or consequential, exemplary, punitive or any other damages of any kind in connection with or relating to the Product including but not limited to property damage, loss of profits, loss of use or any breach of any express or implied warranty, lost revenue, personal injury or death.
